Today we celebrate Saint Barbara. According to legend, her father locked her in a tower with two windows. Barbara had a third window broken out as a reminder of the Trinity of God. When her father saw this, he realized that she had become a Christian and demanded that she renounce this faith. Barbara's martyrdom (= testimony) already begins with the window. She does not want to hide her faith. She wants to say where her light comes from, where her hope goes.
